The Agogo Bell (also spelled “Agogô”) is a metallic percussion instrument made of two connected bells with different sizes and tones, designed to create rhythmic patterns with a bright and penetrating sound.

More info

Traditionally used in Afro-Brazilian and Latin music, it is widely featured in styles such as samba, batucada, capoeira, salsa, and traditional African music. It is also commonly used in funk, Latin jazz, and modern drum/percussion setups.

The instrument produces two distinct notes — one high and one low — allowing dynamic rhythmic combinations. It is played with a drumstick, and some versions allow slight sound modulation by pressing the bells together.

Perfect for music education, percussion groups, rhythm practice, and batucada ensembles.
